Women's Basketball Welcomes Harvard on Saturday for Senior Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's basketball team will welcome the Harvard Crimson to the Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
Saturday's contest will serve as senior day. Prior to tip-off, the team will honor their senior class.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.Â

Scouting the Bears (10-13, 4-6 Ivy)
- The Bears were on the road last weekend, facing Princeton and Penn. Brown kept competition tight, but ultimately dropped both games to their opponents.
- Sophomore guard Olivia Young led the Bears in scoring against Princeton with 13 points.Young netted four triples, and four baskets from the field.
- Senior center Gianna Aiello posted a game-high 18 points against Penn. Junior guard Grace Arnolie followed with 17 points. Junior forward Beth Nelson set a new career-high with 13 points against the Quakers.
- Arnolie has surpassed Dartmouth's Victoria Page in scoring, and now sits at fifth place in the Ivy League. Arnolie averages 14.7 points per game.
- Senior guard Isabella Mauricio has surpassed Justine Gaziano in career three-pointers made, moving into third place with 210.
- The Bears look to earn their fifth conference win of the season.
- The Crimson were also on the road last weekend, taking on Cornell and Columbia. Harvard swept the weekend, beating both the Big Red and Lions. Harvard is currently on a four game win streak.
- Harmoni Turner continues to lead Harvard in scoring. She netted a game-high 21Â points against Cornell, and 22 points against Columbia. Turner leads the Ivy League in scoring with an average of 21.2 points per game.Â
- Harvard's two Ivy losses came from Princeton back on Jan. 11 and Columbia on Jan. 31.
- The Crimson's offense ranks second in the Ivy League right below Columbia. Harvard's defense ranks first in the conference.Â
- Harvard's Elena Rodriguez ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage with .560.
- The Bears have a 36-63 record against the Crimson dating back to the 1973-74 season.
- The two teams previously met on Jan. 18, where Harvard beat Brown 83-53.
- Brown last beat Harvard in 2015, 83-80.
