PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Four members of the Brown women's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Grace Arnolie, Beth Nelson, and Olivia Young all earn their second recognition, while Alyssa Moreland receives the honor for the first time.
To be considered, a student-athlete must have participated in 90% of the team's games played or must start in at least 66% of the contests, have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Arnolie was named First Team All-Ivy this season, marking her fourth consecutive season earning Ivy League recognition. She was named an Honorable Mention as a freshman and sophomore, and was named to the Second Team after her junior year. Arnolie is the first Bear to be named to the First Team since Kyla Jones in 2023. Arnolie was the second-highest scorer in the conference, averaging 17.8 points per game.
Moreland was named Second Team All-Ivy this season, earning her first Ivy League recognition. Moreland led the conference in rebounds (10.0) and offensive rebounds (3.7) per game. She was also the only Ivy League player to average a double-double (11.4 PPG, 10.0 RPG) to close out the 2025-26 season.Â
Nelson earned her second CSC Academic All-District nod following another impactful season. Nelson set new career-highs this year, netting 15 points, including five baskets from the field, and four three-pointers. She also tied her career-high of three blocks, and ranked eighth in the Ivy League in the category.
Young also earned her second CSC honor following a strong season. Young set a career-high four free-throws made, and tied her career-high nine rebounds. She also hit back-to-back triples against Princeton, contributing to Brown's five consecutive threes in the Ivy Madness semifinal.
