Men’s Basketball Set for Nationally Televised Clash at Providence on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (5-6) will travel to Providence (6-4) for a nationally televised clash on truTV on Tuesday, Dec. 9, tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

Weekend Recap
Brown came away with two victories at the Pizzitola Sports Center as it defeated Bryant 75-56 (Dec. 5) and Elms College 115-34 (Dec. 6).
Against Bryant, Brown led by as much as 20 points in its wire-to-wire victory. Adrian Uchidiuno paced the Bears with 13 points, Brown shot a season-high 54.5 percent from beyond the arc to go along with 19 assists on 27 made field goals.
Brown's 115 points against Elms tied the most in a single game in program history as it also had 115 against Harvard (Feb. 23, 1991). The Bears had six players score in double figures as Charlie O'Sullivan led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
All 13 players who saw the floor against Elms scored at least two points and earned at least one steal.
Scouting Brown
Brown is averaging 44.3 rebounds per game over the last three games and has had 40 or more rebounds in each of the three games during this stretch. Brown recorded a season-high 47 rebounds against Elms and had a season-high 20 offensive rebounds against Rhode Island (Dec. 2).
The Bears have held four out of their last five opponents to under 60 points, Brown's 63.5 scoring defense ranks 14th nationally and first in the Ivy League. Brown is holding its last five opponents to 24.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc and its 28.7 three-point percentage defense ranks 45th nationally.
N'famara Dabo continues to lead the Ivy League in blocks per game (2.4) and total blocks (26), Dabo's 26 total blocks ranks sixth nationally. Jeremiah Jenkins leads the Ivy League in steals per game (2.1), total steals (23), and total assists (51).
Scouting Providence
Providence is 5-0 this season at home this season, the Friars have the 19th-best scoring offense in the nation (90.4). Providence's 90.4 points per game also leads the Big East.
Oswin Eehunmwunse's 36 total blocks leads the nation, his 3.6 blocks per game ranks second in the nation. Eehunmwunse's 7.0 rebounds per game ranks tied for fifth in the Big East. Jason Edward's 18.6 points per game ranks second in the Big East, his 45.5 percent field goal percentage is ninth in the Big East.
History
Brown will be seeking its first win over Providence since Dec. 8, 2014. The Bears are 29-95 against the Friars and 2-5 under Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04.
