Men’s Basketball Cruises to 75-56 Win Over Bryant
12/5/2025 11:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (4-6) cruised to a wire-to-wire 75-56 win over Bryant (3-7) on Friday evening inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
"I thought we played really well," Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 said. "Bryant didn't play their best game but we had a lot to do with that. It started with our defensive pressure, trying to wear down their guards and handle adverse pressure for 40 minutes. The ball went in the basket early, Luke hit a couple of huge threes to get us going, Jeremiah pushed our tempo early and also hit a couple of huge threes in the first half. When you hit 12 threes, your offense looks better."
After the Bears missed their first attempt from beyond the arc, they went on to make three-straight three-point attempts as they took a 13-4 advantage into the first half under 16 media timeout. Luke Paragon nailed two out of the three triples for Brown to open the game. Brown continued to enjoy success from beyond the arc as Brady Loughlin's first triple of the game gave Brown its first double-digit advantage of the game at 20-9 with 13:46 remaining in the first half.
Three-pointers were the story of the first half as the Bears shot 6-9 from distance, Paragon and Jeremiah Jenkins combined to shoot 4-5 from three-point range. Overall, the Bears shot 16-34 from the floor and scored 17 points off turnovers, eight out of nine Bears who saw action in the first half scored points.
Brown took a 41-28 lead into halftime and led by as much as 16 in the opening half, Landon Lewis paced the Bears with nine first half points.
The Bears kept their foot on the gas to open the second half, quickly pushing its advantage to 17 with 14:29 remaining in regulation. Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson gave Brown its largest lead at 20 with a steal and a layup.
The Bulldogs fought back to cut the Bears' lead to 12 with 7:54 remaining. Brown proceeded with a 9-4 run of its own, capped off by an Adrian Uchidiuno three-pointer which pushed its lead to 17 with 2:56 remaining. The three-pointer proved to be enough as the Bears held on for its second-straight home victory and fourth win in its last six games.
Brown had four players score in double figures as Uchidiuno led the way with 13, followed by Jenkins with 12, Lewis with 11, and David Rochester with 10. Paragon and Isaiah Langham added nine points each.
Jenkins, Paragon, and Uchidiuno all made three three-pointers, Jenkins added five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
Brown shot a season-best 54.5 percent from beyond the arc and made a season-high 12 three-pointers. The Bears also had 19 assists on 27 made field goals.
Brown will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 6 when they welcome Elms College, tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
