PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Naya Cardoza and freshman Jael-Marie Guy of the Brown women's soccer team will represent their respective countries as Cardoza will resume training for World Cup Qualifiers with Jamaica, and Guy has earned an international call-up to the Philippines Women's National Football Team's training camp.
Cardoza is included in the 21-player squad that will take on Dominica this Saturday, Nov. 29. Earlier this year, the senior was part of the Reggae Girlz team that faced the United States in a friendly and is currently competing in World Cup Qualifiers.
Cardoza anchored Brown's defensive unit throughout her career at Brown and earned unanimous First Team All-Ivy honors in 2025. She was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 and earned a spot on TDS National Team of the Week in September. Cardoza started in all 17 of the Bears' games and tallied seven goals on the season, tied for the second most in the Ivy. She was named to the Ivy All-Tournament team and was a two-time conference defensive player of the week recipient.
Guy is included in the Philippine training camp from Nov. 23 to Dec. 2 after being called up from the youth team. She is included in the team's 28-player squad preparing for the Southeast Asian Games in December.
During the 2025 season, Guy was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week twice and appeared in 16 of Brown's 17 games. Guy tallied three goals this season, including the Bears' goal against nationally ranked Wake Forest in the 67th minute.
