Women’s Soccer Set to Host Dartmouth on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team will host the Dartmouth Big Green on Saturday, October 11, as part of Alumni Weekend.

Scouting the Bears (8-2-2, 2-1-0)

Brown was picked second in the Ivy League preseason poll, receiving six first-place votes
- The Bears went 6-1-2 in their non-conference schedule
- They began their season with three straight wins, defeating New Haven, Rhode Island and UConn by a combined score of 7-2
- Their lone loss came against Minnesota, who received national ranking votes in the preseason poll
- They defeated Northeastern 2-0 in a strong bounce-back effort
- The Bears tied Wake Forest 1-1 on the road, who is currently ranked 12^th in the country, and tied Hofstra in the next game
- They won back-to-back games 4-0, defeating Central Connecticut State and Providence College
- They defeated Yale in their Ivy League opener 5-2 before falling at Columbia 2-1
- Most recently, they defeated Penn 4-0 in a dominant effort at home
Jael-Marie Guy was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after scoring and assisting in the Bears' 4-0 win over Penn
Senior defender Naya Cardoza and junior midfielder Joy Okonye are tied with Dartmouth's Stephanie Lathrop for the Ivy League lead in goals (6) this season
Okonye leads the Ivy League with five assists and Brooke Birtwistle is tied for second with four assists

The Big Green defeated Merrimack 7-0 to begin their season
