Men’s Soccer Closes Out Non-Conference Play Against No. 3 Bryant on Tuesday Night

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's soccer team will conclude non-conference play when they welcome the No. 3 Bryant Bulldogs on Tuesday night for an in-state matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on NESN+ and ESPN+.

- The Bears played to a scoreless draw in their last outing against Penn on Saturday afternoon.
- Brown's strong defense and goalkeeping helped keep Penn off the board.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Max Pfaffman made his sixth-straight start, making five saves to give the Bears a clean sheet for the night.
- Saturday's draw also marks Pfaffman's second career shutout.
- Pfaffman still ranks within the top of the Ivies in saves per game (third, 3.33), goals against average (fourth, .667), saves (fourth, .833), and shutouts per game (sixth, .333).
- Junior forward Lorenzo Amaral recorded two shots, with one landing on target in Saturday's contest, holding on to fourth in the conference in shots (2.90/g), and third in shots on goal (1.20/g).
- The Bears rank fourth in the Ivy League in shots, averaging 9.80 shots, and 4.70 shots on goal per game.
- Brown has the second-highest RPI in the Ivy League (38th), behind Princeton in first.
- The Bulldogs most recently hosted UAlbany on Friday afternoon, where they shut out the Great Danes 5-0. Five different Bulldogs netted goals in the contest.
- Bryant is currently on a 10 game winning-streak. Their lone draw was the result from their season-opener against LIU.
- Jaime Amaro leads the Bulldogs in scoring with eight goals and three assists for a total of 19 points. Mamadi Jiana follows behind with five goals and three assists for 13 points.
- The Bulldogs have racked up 27 goals so far this season, compared to their opponents' five.
- Bryant ranks first in the America East, with a clean record in conference play.
- Abdel Talabi was named to the Midseason Hermann Trophy Watchlist this week.
- Bryant is currently ranked third in the country in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs have the second-best RPI in the country behind Princeton.
- The Bears hold a 6-4 record over the Bulldogs in their last 10 meetings.
- Bryant has won the last four matches, including their last meeting in 2023.
- Brown held an eight-match winning streak from 2008-2018.
