Men's Hockey Hosts Stonehill in Non-Conference Finale on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (7-9-2, 4-7-1 ECAC) close out the non-conference schedule with a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Stonehill Skyhawks (9-19-0, Independent).
Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters Sunday with a 7-9-2 overall record and 4-7-1 ECAC mark. The Bears have won three straight games entering the weekend to jump back into the thick of the ECAC standings.
- Brown's offense averages 2.3 goals per game and is led by captain Max Scott's 11 goals. Freshman Brian Nicholas leads the team with 17 points with Nicholas and Kopff tied for the team lead in assists with 10.
- Brown's power play has eight goals in 46 attempts (17.8%) to rank eighth in the conference and 46th nationally. Nicholas leads the team with four power play goals and eight man-up points.
- Defensively, Brown leads the ECAC and ranks 11th nationally with 2.3 goals against per game.
- Goaltender Lawton Zacher, a Hobey Baker Memorial Award and Mike Richter Award nominee, holds a .935 save percentage and 2.00 goals against average in 15 starts.
- Brown's penalty kill clicks at 76.4% (42-55) to rank seventh in the conference.
- Stonehill enters Sunday with a 9-19-0 overall record. The Skyhawks have won three straight games, including a 3-2 overtime win at ninth-ranked UMass Lowell, the biggest win in program history.
- Stonehill also has notable wins over Merrimack (twice), St. Lawrence, Lake Superior State, and Army.
- Stonehill's offense averages 2.0 goals per game to rank 60th in the NCAA. Anthony Galante leads the team with 10 goals and 18 points.
- Three Skyhawks - Dominick Campione, Henri Schreifels, and Galante - lead the team with eight assists.
- Stonehill's power play has nine goals in 81 attempts (11.1%) to rank 62nd nationally.
- Defensively, Stonehill allows 3.3 goals per game to rank 52nd nationally.
- Between the pipes, Connor Androiewicz holds a .897 save percentage and 3.33 goals against average in 22 starts.
- Stonehill's penalty kill ranks 31st nationally at 80.2% (85-106).
- Brown and Stonehill face off for the third time in series history after meeting for a home-and-home series a season ago.
- The Bears took both wins last year, beginning with a 7-2 home win and ending with a 4-1 road win.
- Brown captured its third straight win with a 5-1 road victory over the Merrimack Warriors on Tuesday at Lawler Arena.
- Max Scott pushed his point streak to four games with a first-period goal and added an assist later in the third.
- Junior Dean Bauchiero had a career-night with two goals and classmate Mike Cataldo added a goal and assist of his own.
- Lawton Zacher was strong between the pipes and finished the night with 20 saves.
- The Bears allowed a season-low 21 shots on goal.
- Sophomore netminder Lawton Zacher is one of 97 nominees for the 2025 Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
- He holds a .935 save percentage and 2.00 goals against average in 15 starts, compiling a 7-6-2 record.
- His save percentage leads the conference and ranks sixth nationally. His goals against average leads the ECAC and ranks 14th in the NCAA.
- Zacher is one of 12 ECAC players named to the list.
- Scott picked up ECAC Forward of the Week honors following a four-goal weekend at Meehan Auditorium.
- Scott tallied a penalty shot goal in Brown's 3-2 win over St. Lawrence before recording a hat trick in the 4-2 win over Clarkson to close out the weekend.
- The sophomore also matched career-highs with seven shots on goal and four blocked shots against the Golden Knights.
- Scott jumped to 11 goals on the season to lead the team in scoring and his 15 points rank second on the Bears.
- He is tied for fourth in the ECAC in total goals and leads the conference and ranks 10th in the NCAA with 0.61 goals per game.
- Scott's 0.83 points per game are tied for 21st in the ECAC.
- With 0.59 goals per game, Scott is tied with Clarkson's Ayrton Martino for the most in the ECAC. They are tied for 12th in the NCAA in goals per game.
- Ryan St. Louis pushed his point streak to six games with a two-point effort in the win at Merrimack.
- The junior has 11 points in nine games this season and leads the ECAC with 1.22 points per game.
- He has four multi-point games this season.
- Brown's fourth line of Dean Bauchiero, Mike Cataldo, and Tanner Hartman combined to score three goals and chip in five points in Brown's win over the Warriors.
- Bauchiero tallied two goals, Cataldo picked up a goal and an assist, and Hartman picked up an assist.
