Men’s Basketball Hosts Dartmouth on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (9-7, 1-2) will host Dartmouth (7-9, 1-2) on Saturday, Jan. 25, tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Scott Cordischi, Russ Tyler '71, and Nick Coit will bring you the action live on ESPN+ and Jake Levin and Paul Lambert will bring you the action on the Brown Varsity Network via the Brown Bears app, Varsity Network app, or BrownBears.com.
Saturday afternoon will also be Brown's Black Out Game and the Ivy League's 8 Against Hate Weekend, all fans in attendance are encouraged to wear black.
Last Time Out
Brown picked up its first Ivy League victory of the season with an 83-82 win at Cornell (Jan. 20). Aaron Cooley led the Bears with a career-high 28 points on 10-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 3-3 from three-point range. Cooley's 28 points was the most by a Bear this season, he also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Landon Lewis scored 17 points on 8-10 shooting while grabbing five rebounds, Alexander Lesburt Jr. chipped in 11 points, the junior shot a perfect 3-3 from three-point range in the second half.
History Made, The Chase Continues
Kino Lilly Jr. is now the all-time leader in program history with 297 three-pointers made, the senior also sits second all-time in career points with 1,699, he is 343 points away from being the all-time program scoring leader.
Lilly Jr. ranks third in Ivy League history in three-pointers made, he is three three-pointers away from being the third player in Ivy League history to reach the 300 triples mark.
Ivy Iverson
Kino Lilly Jr. is averaging 18.3 points on 41.0 shooting from the field and 40.4 shooting from three-point range this season. The senior is averaging 3.56 three-pointers per game and is on pace to hit 100 triples, which would break Brown's single season record of 93 set by Sean McGonagill during the 2013-14 season, Lilly Jr. hit 90 triples during the 2023-24 campaign.
Lilly Jr's. pace would put him third in Ivy League history for most three-pointers in a single season behind Ryan Wittman (Cornell), who hit 109 during the 2009-10 season and Matt Morgan (Cornell) who hit 107 during the 2018-19 season. His 3.56 three-pointers per game ranks seventh in the nation, his 57 total three-pointers made sits 19th nationally.
The Glenn Dale, Md. native has 63 double-digit scoring efforts and 36 20-point games as a Bear.
Cooley Continues To Impress
Aaron Cooley is averaging 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, the senior has double-digit scoring efforts in 10 out of 16 games and has three double-doubles.
Cooley scored a career-high 28 points in Brown's 83-82 win at Cornell, he also had a career high 10 field goals made against the Big Red. Cooley's 28 points was the most by a Bear this season, the Roxbury, Mass. native shot 10-13 from the floor and 3-3 from three-point range. Cooley shot a perfect 4-4 from the floor in the second half while grabbing seven total rebounds.
The senior also had a career-high 15 rebounds in Brown's season opener at Siena (Nov. 4), his 15 rebounds is the second-most by an Ivy League player this season, he's recorded double-digit rebounds in four games.

In the absence of Nana Owusu-Anane, Landon Lewis has scored in double figures in 13 out of 15 games played this season.
Lewis has scored 15 or more points in eight out of 15 games played, he most recently netted 17 points in Brown's win at Cornell. Lewis shot an efficient 8-10 from the floor against the Big Red.
Lewis scored a career-high 21 points in Brown's win over Bryant (Dec. 6) on 9-12 shooting from the floor.
Lewis recorded his first career double-double in Brown's win over Sacred Heart (Nov. 17) with 14 points and 11 rebounds on a perfect 6-6 shooting from the floor; he backed that up with 17 points on 8-11 shooting at Canisius (Nov. 23).
Lewis' 3.13 offensive boards per game ranks first in the Ivy League, his 6.9 rebounds per game is third in the Ivy League. THe Los Angeles, Calif native is averaging 13.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, his 59.2 field goal percentage ranks 24th in the nation.
On the defensive end, Lewis has recorded four or more blocks on three separate occasions this season and his 1.40 blocks per game ranks fourth in the Ivy League.
Lesburt's Big Stretch
Over the last two games, Alexander Lesburt Jr. is shooting 8-16 from the floor and 6-12 from three-point range.
Against Harvard, Lesburt Jr. shot 4-10 from the floor and 3-8 from three-point range. Most recently, Lesburt Jr. shot 4-6 from the floor at Cornell including 3-4 from three-point range, including a perfect 3-3 from distance in the second half.
Over the last two games, Lesburt Jr. is averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Senior Leadership
Over the last four games, Lyndel Erold is shooting 15-22 from the floor and has recorded double-digit scoring efforts in two out of three Ivy League games.
Erold matched a career-high 15 points in Brown's Ivy League opener at Yale on 5-8 shooting, Erold then had 11 points on 5-9 shooting at Cornell.
Scouting Dartmouth (7-9, 1-2)
Dartmouth enters the Pizzitola Sports Center looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The Big Green opened Ivy League action with a win against Penn before losing to Princeton and Yale.
The Big Green have four players averaging double-digits including Ryan Cornish who is averaging 16.1 points per game and 3.7 assists per game. Cornish's 1.9 steals per game leads the Ivy League.
Connor Amundsen leads the Ivy League with a 48.4 shooting percentage from three-point range.

Brown will play its first back-to-back of the season as they will travel to Penn on Friday, Jan. 31 before traveling to Princeton on Saturday, Feb. 1.
