Men's Soccer Heads to UMass This Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown men's soccer team will travel to Amherst, Massachusetts to face UMass on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (1-1-1)

The Bears are coming off of a 0-0 draw against FDU on Tuesday. They are ready to battle UMass as they look to earn their second win of the season.
Goalkeeper Henrik Weiper made five crucial saves in Brown's last game, preventing the Knights from finding the back of the net.
The Bears posted three shots on goal from Jamin Gogo Peters, Mads Stistrup Petersen, and Levi Pillar.
Lorenzo Amaral, Jamin Gogo Peters, and Mike Balleani have earned Brown's three goals this season.

Scouting the Minutemen (2-1-2)

The Minutemen outplayed UMass Lowell in their last game, earning them a 7-1 win over the Riverhawks.
UMass posted two scoreless draws against Siena and Bryant this season.
The Minutemen have scored a total of 12 goals this season. Aaron O'Malley, Alec Hughes, Layton Purchase, Shane Velez, Aidan Kelly, and Mike Willis contributed to the total.

History

Brown and UMass met last season at Stevenson-Pincince Field where the Bears had a 3-1 victory over the Minutemen.
The teams' first meeting dates back to 2015 when the Bears hosted UMass earning a 2-1 win over them. The following season, the pair headed to Amherst, with the Minutemen coming out on top with a final score of 2-0.
The Bears have a 2-1 record against UMass and look to add another tally to their win column.
