Men's Soccer Hosts Home Opener on Friday Against Lehigh

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown men's soccer team will open their season at Stevenson-Pincince Field on Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m. against Lehigh University.
The Brown Athletics marketing team will have a table set up on the concourse. Be sure to stop by to check out the promotions for the 2024 season, and to pick up a schedule/roster poster.
Halftime entertainment will include the Center Field Shot. One fan will be chosen to take a shot from mid-field to win a Brown Athletics prize pack.
Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at Brownbears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device, or print them at home prior to arrival. There is a no re-entry policy in place for all ticketed athletic events at Brown University. Once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you must remain inside the venue.
As part of an effort to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our spectators, Brown Athletics has implemented the following bag policy at athletic events. Backpacks, duffel bags and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted into the venue. Brown Athletics does not provide any storage for prohibited bags and/or items. Bags are subject to be checked upon entry. Clear bags no larger than 12"x12"x6" or small wristlets no larger than (4"x6") are permitted and are strongly encouraged.

- The Bears look to improve from their record of 5-5-8 for the 2023 season.
- Head Coach Chase Wileman returns for his third season with Brown men's soccer, joined by new assistant coaches Mark Waterman and Steven Tekesky.
- Lehigh opened their season with a scoreless draw against La Salle.
- The Mountain Hawks are headed to College Hill after their first win of the season with a score of 1-0 over Rider University.
- Lehigh looks to improve from their 3-10-5 record for the 2023 season.
- The Bears are 2-0-1 against the Mountain Hawks.
- This matchup dates back to 2009, where the game went into double overtime and ended in a 1-1 tie.
- Brown reigned victorious over Lehigh in 2012 with a 1-0 win, and again in 2014 with a final score of 2-1.
