HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The Brown women's soccer team will travel to Hofstra on Thursday, Aug. 29, kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Scouting The Bears (0-1)
- Brown travels to Hofstra seeking its first win of the 2024 season, the Bears opened their season with a 1-0 loss at Rhode Island.
- Naya Cardoza and Layla Shell each tallied four shots in the season opener, Bella Schopp made three saves in the loss.
- Brown's home opener against Kansas was canceled due to inclement weather after 56 minutes of play, the game ended as a no contest.
- Hofstra welcomes Brown seeking its second consecutive win. Hofstra's lone win this season came against Fellow Ivy League member Yale.
- Brown is the third Ivy League opponent for Hofstra in as many games as the Pride earned a 0-0 tie against Columbia (Aug. 23) and a 2-1 win over Yale (Aug. 25).
- Three different goal scorers have accounted for all three of Hofstra's goals this season as Millie Davies, Mathilde Braithwaite, and Ellie Gough have found the back of the net for the Pride.
- Mackenzie Sullivan has started the last two games in goal for the Pride and has made three saves in two starts.
- Brown is 2-2 all-time against Hofstra and 2-1 under head coach Kia McNeill.
- In Brown's 3-0 win over Hofstra in 2022, Miya Grant-Clavijo found the back of the net as six current Bears saw action.
- The Bears are 0-2 all-time on the road against the Pride.
