NEISA Team Race Championship/Fowle Trophy
#4 Coed and Women’s Sailing Earn Four Podium Finishes This Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown University #4 coed and women's sailing teams wrapped up a full weekend of competition with four podium finishes.
The coed sailing team hosted the NEISA Open Team Race Championship for the Fowle Trophy. There, the Bears finished in third place out of the top 12 teams in New England. The team finished the competition with a 15-8 record at the event. Only two wins separated Brown from first place Yale after a total of 23 races. Vera Allen, Leyton Borcherding, Guthrie Braun, Caroline Keeffe-Jones, Emily Mueller, Connor Nelson, Liam O'Keefe, Camren Spriggs, and Savannah Young competed in the regatta.
The coed team of Blake Behrens, Sierra Bornheim, Corinne Harrison, Janelle Li, Connor Macken, Olivia Miller, Ethan Simpson, and Mason Stang represented Brown in the Mystic Lake Team Race at Tufts University. The Bears won the event, coming in first place out of eight teams.
The women's sailing team competed at the Yale Team Race, where they finished in second place out of six teams. The team finished the event with a 10-5 record. Charlotte Costikyan, Francesca Edmands, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Katherine McNamara, Brianna Ross, and Brielle Willoughby carried the Bears to victory.
The women's team also competed in the Emily Wick Trophy Race at Connecticut College. The Bears finished in third place out of 11 teams.
The Brown sailing teams will continue their seasons this weekend with four more regattas.
