Notes: Sailing became a varsity sport at Brown prior to the 2020-21 academic year.
2022-23: Helped Brown place first at the Lark Invite … Competed during a total of 12 weekends for the Bears throughout the season.
2021-22: Helped Brown win the Jumbo Team Race and Rhody the Riveter … Also competed during the weekends of Oct. 9, Oct. 23, Oct. 30, March 12, April 9, and April 23.
2020-21: Did not compete … Season shortened due to COVID-19.
Before Brown: Raced with Norton Junior Sailing Team and LISOT … Placed third at the 2019 US Junior Women’s Doublehanded Championship … Gained the Thomas W. Fowler, Jr. Trophy for high point score in junior doublehanded open events … Also competed in soccer and indoor and outdoor track & field … Captained indoor track team as a senior … Finished second in the Western Southern Connecticut Conference in 1000-meter race … Won the 4x800 meter relay for the Western Conference … Broke the school 4x800 meter relay record … Earned Fall Scholar Athlete honors.
Personal: Charlotte is the daughter of Deirdre Ryan and Warren Costikyan … Has two siblings, Maggie and Ryan; Maggie sails at Fordham … Plans to concentrate in political science and pursue a legal career.
