Women’s Tennis Drops Ivy League Matchup Against #72 Penn
4/14/2024 6:08:00 PM | Women's Tennis
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown University women's tennis team dropped their match 4-0 against #72 Penn at home on Sunday.
The Bears lost the doubles point after Penn beat them in first and second doubles. The third doubles match was left unfinished. Penn ultimately earned the point.
In singles, the Bears were unable to earn a point. Penn collected three singles points at the second, third, and sixth line.
"We came out with very little energy in doubles, losing the point pretty quickly. The trend continued through the first part of singles as well before we started competing a little better in some of the matches. As a team, our players were not able to embrace the challenge of competing and problem-solving effectively after yesterday's tough loss against Princeton. This is something that our team needs to address as we prepare to compete in the last two matches of our season next weekend," Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser said.
