PREVIEW: Schedule Changes to this Weekend’s Baseball Series at Harvard

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Due to field conditions, schedule updates have been made to this weekend's Brown baseball series at Harvard. Saturday's doubleheader has been moved to Boston College's Harrington Athletics Village in Brighton, Mass. Game one of the doubleheader will now start at noon. Due to the venue change, Saturday's games will no longer be streamed.
Sunday's single game will be played as scheduled at Harvard's O'Donnell Field in Cambridge. First pitch remains at noon and will be streamed on ESPN+.

SCOUTING BROWN (5-13, 0-3 Ivy)
- The Bears are coming off a 14-5 victory on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup against Stonehill, snapping an eight-game losing skid.
- The Bears are the only team in the Ivy League to have scored at least 11 runs in four games so far this season and are 3-1 in those contests.
- Brown is fifth in the Ivy League with a .259 team batting average, trailing both Columbia and Cornell by less than two points, and one spot ahead of Harvard.
- Brown is averaging 5.67 runs per game, which ranks third in the Ivy League.
- Brown's pitching staff has combined for a 7.37 ERA this season, good for fourth in the Ivy and one spot ahead of Harvard.
- With a .341 batting average and .614 slugging pct., junior infielder Gunner Boree leads the team and ranks sixth in the league in both categories.
- Leadoff batter Mika Petersen ranks 10th in the Ivy with 14 runs scored.
- DJ Dillehay is third in the league with 25 hits and fourth in RBIs with 18.
- Dillehay and Brady Dever round out the top 10 in the league with three home runs apiece.
- Saturday's game two starter Paxton Meyers ranks among the Ivy League leaders in several categories, including fourth in ERA (3.68), second in innings pitched (29.1), fifth in strikeouts (27), eighth in opponents batting average (.261), and is tied for the league lead with two wins.
SCOUTING HARVARD (3-14, 1-2 Ivy)
- The Crimson opened Ivy play last weekend by dropping two out of three games at Columbia. Harvard dropped a 17-7 decision to Holy Cross this week, the only common opponent thus far with Brown.
- Sean Matson ranks third in the Ivy League with a 3.04 ERA and is limiting opponents to a .181 batting average.
- Senior outfielder Ben Rounds is the lone player hitting over .300 this season, posting a .371/.480/.629 slash line, leading the team in runs (18), hits (23), doubles (7), RBIs (2), and walks (13). He ranks second on the team with three homers.
