Men's Lacrosse Returns to Conference Play Against #10 Yale

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (1-7, 0-1 Ivy League) close out the three-game homestand and month of March against the 10th-ranked Yale Bulldogs (5-2, 1-1 Ivy League) on Saturday at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will air on NESN locally and stream on ESPN+ in the United States.

SALUTE TO SERVICE
- Saturday's game marks Brown's Salute to Service game with several fan amenities.
- The NMRTC New England Color Guard will present the colors before the opening faceoff and Rhode Island National Guard soldiers and equipment will be on site.
- Additionally, Brown will recognize a Hometown Hero, presented by Texas Roadhouse of North Smithfield, during the game.
- Brown enters Saturday after a non-conference split against the UMass Minutemen and Villanova Wildcats last weekend. The Bears took down UMass on Friday before falling to Villanova on Monday.
- Aidan McLane leads the Bruno offense with 16 goals and 19 points. Ben Locke tallied two goals against Villanova to reach 10 on the season.
- Connor Theriault has started all seven games in goal and holds a 12.27 goals against average and .493 save percentage.
- Brown's man-down defense leads the conference and ranks ninth nationally at .769 (30-39).
- Dash Sachs is .493 (75-152) on the season at the faceoff X and leads the Bears with 45 ground balls. He has won 50% or more of his faceoffs in each of the last six games.
- Yale enters the weekend with a 5-2 overall record and 1-1 Ivy League mark. The Bulldogs rank 10th in the nation per the USILA Coaches Poll.
- In conference play, the Bulldogs beat Harvard before falling at Cornell last weekend.
- Yale's offense averages 16.57 goals per game to lead the conference and rank second nationally.
- Matt Brandau leads the team with 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points. He leads the NCAA in assists per game (3.86) and points per game (6.57).
- Yale's man-up offense has four goals in 18 attempts (.222) to rank 71st nationally.
- Defensively, Yale allows 13.29 goals per game to rank fifth in the Ivy League. Jared Paquette has started all seven games in goal and holds a 13.19 goals against average and .473 save percentage.
- Yale's man-down defense ranks last in the Ivy and 60th nationally at .536 (15-28).
- Machado Rodriguez holds a .645 (98-152) win-rate at the faceoff X to rank fourth in the NCAA. His 11.14 ground balls per game lead the nation.
- Saturday marks the 67th meeting between Brown and Yale in a series dating back to 1927.
- The Bears hold a 35-31 all-time record in the series along with a 20-11 home mark.
