LONG BEACH, Calif.- Brown women's tennis continued their west coast road trip on Tuesday with a 4-3 loss to Long Beach State University.
The Bears were unable to secure the doubles point after dropping first and third. "It was a challenging day for the Bears. After losing the doubles point, there were some highlights in the match," said Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser.
Brown earned their points in the second, third, and sixth doubles. Anne Yang, Nora Lee, and Gabriella Soliman all achieved a point for the Bears in their respective singles matches.
"Annie continues to challenge herself as a player as she is adding more weapons to her game. Her coachability and willingness to be aggressive is starting to pay dividends for her. Nora played well displaying her all-court game in her ever-improving game style clarity. Gabby outcompeted her opponent at line two," Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser said.
"Now we return to Providence to get ready for the start of the Ivy season when we face #45 Yale on Saturday."
