Women's Tennis Wraps Up 2025 Fall Season on Final Day of Big Green Invite

HANOVER, N.H. – The Brown women's tennis team concluded the Big Green Invite with three singles wins against Dartmouth.

The Bears carried momentum from their successful doubles matches the previous day into singles play, where Dani Ben-Abraham fell to Sam Grosjean in a third-set tiebreaker, 3-6, 7-6(2), 10-6. Abigail Lee defeated Josephine Lombardi in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 10-0. Francesca Saroli secured a win over Valentina Cruz, 7-5, 6-2, while Bella Hu prevailed against Brooke Hess, 6-4, 6-3.

Reflecting on the performance, Broadbent Family Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser commented, "We finished the tournament strong on most courts. Bella, Francesca, and Abbey showed a lot of fight and composure in their matches, staying positive and problem-solving well when their opponent stepped up their game. Abbey completely overwhelmed her opponent in the 3rd set tiebreaker with flawless shot selection and aggressive play. Overall, it was a very positive weekend for the Bears as we close out our fall season."
