Women's Tennis Heads to Harvard for ECAC Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown women's tennis heads to Harvard for the 2024 ECAC Championship to defend their title on Friday through Sunday.
The Bears, who defeated Princeton to win the 2023 championship, come into the tournament with a 3-1 record so far on the spring season with wins over Portland, 4-3, Villanova, 6-1, and sweeping Holy Cross.
Brown, who is seeded second in the field of the eight Ivy League programs, will first face Penn on Friday at 5 p.m. From there, the Bears will match up with either No. 3 Columbia or No. 6 Dartmouth on Saturday and either No. 1 Princeton, No. 4 Harvard, No. 5 Yale or No. 8 Cornell on Sunday in the final.
The doubles pair of junior Lindsey Hofflander and sophomore Phoebe Peus, who are ranked No. 34 in the latest ITA doubles rankings, enter the weekend with a 15-4 record, including a 2-0 mark in the spring. Senior Ali Benedetto and junior Addison Ahlstrom are 8-2 in doubles. Overall the Bears are 43-21 overall in doubles with different pairs being mixed throughout the season.
In singles, Peus has an 11-3 record, while freshmen Anne Yang (7-3) and Dani Ben-Abraham (6-3) have had strong starts to their collegiate careers. Ahlstrom and sophomore Vivian Miller each have seven wins this season and Brown is 16-8 overall in singles matches this spring.
