"Today's win highlighted our team's ability to dig deep and compete relentlessly," said Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser. "Even when our players didn't play their best, they kept fighting and, in the end, we were able to outcompete a tough Penn team. I was proud of all of our players today and their commitment to put everything on the line."

The Bears were challenged all night. The first doubles point was not easy to get as junior Lindsey Hofflander and sophomore Phoebe Peus took a tiebreaker at first doubles (78-66), while senior Ali Benedetto and junior Addison Ahlstrom won second doubles (7-5).
Â
Penn tied the match after taking third singles. Freshman Anne Yang then won sixth singles (6-2, 6-1) and the Quakers made it a 2-2 match with a victory at first singles. Brown pulled away for the win as sophomore Vivian Miller took fourth singles (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) and Peus won second singles (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) both in three sets.
