Women's Hockey Can Clinch First Round Home Ice This Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â With two weekends left in the regular season, the Brown women's hockey team has its sights set on hosting the first round of the ECAC Tournament for the first time 2006. The Bears first face Harvard and Dartmouth on the road with the goal of adding two wins and six points to their record.
Brown can clinch home ice on Friday with a win and losses by Union, Dartmouth and RPI. If the Bears sweep this weekend they will clinch home ice regardless.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown picked up three more points last weekend with a 4-2 win at Union.Â
- Scoring for the Bears in the game were freshman Sam Broz, senior Maya Mangiafico and sophomore India McDadi twice.
- The duo of sophomore Jade Iginla (12-9-21) and McDadi (9-12-21) are still tied for the team lead in points.
- The freshmen trio of Broz (6-9-15), Margot Norehad (7-6-13), and Ava DeCoste (3-7-10) all have 10 points or more for the Bears.Â
- Seniors Cassidy Piersiak, Mangiafico and Anna Shelden, and sophomores Ellie Gauvin and Gali Levy all have multiple goals this season.
- Senior Kaley Doyle has a 2.07 GAA and .932 SV% on the year.
- Harvard enters the weekend with a 5-18-2 record and are 1-3-2 in its last five games.
- The Crimson are currently in last place in the ECAC standings with a 3-14-1 conference record for 10.5 points.
- Sophomore Gwyn Lapp leads the team with 10 goals and has four assists for 14 points.
- Senior Shannon Hollands and juniors Ellie Bayard and Mia Biotti each have six assists to lead Harvard.
- Junior Alex Pellicci has a 3.89 GAA and .890 SV% in 20 starts this season.
- Dartmouth comes into the weekend with a 6-17-2 record and is tied for ninth in the ECAC standings with a 3-13-2 record for 13 points.
- The Big Green travel to Yale on Friday night before meeting the Bears.
- Senior Jenna Donohue leads the team with 21 points with seven goals and 14 assists.
- Junior Laure Fuoco is second on the team with 19 points with seven goals and 12 assists.
- Freshman Eleanor Rogers has a 4.90 GAA and .873 SV% in 20 starts, while fifth-year Hann Humphreys has a 2.41 GAA and .925 SV% in seven appearances.
