Women's Hockey Takes on No. 4 Colgate in ECAC Quarterfinals

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown women's hockey advanced to the quarterfinal round of the ECAC Tournament for the first time since 2006 after defeating RPI, 1-0, in overtime on Saturday. Junior Jess Ciarrochi netted the game winner against the Engineers at the 8:54 mark of OT.
Now, the Bears are set for a best-of-three-game series at top-seeded and No. 4 Colgate beginning on Friday through Sunday.
Senior Kaley Doyle was named First Team All-Ivy League, sophomore Jade Iginla was tabbed to the second team, and junior Cameron Sikich earned an Honorable Mention nod and spot on the All-Academic team.

Scouting the Bears
- Senior Kaley Doyle was recently named the ECAC Goaltender of the Week. Her All-Ivy recognition marks the third-straight postseason award for Doyle.
- Sophomore Jade Iginla, the 2022-23 ECAC Co-Rookie of the Year, was tabbed Second Team All-Ivy, making it her first Ivy postseason award, while junior Cameron Sikich was an Honorable Mention Selection for the second-straight year.
- Iginla (16-10-26) and sophomore India McDadi (9-14-23) have been leading the Bears in points all season.
- Doyle now has a 2.11 GAA and .930 SV% in 27 starts this season in goal.
- No. 4 Colgate earned the top seed in the ECAC Tournament when it defeated Brown on the final day of the regular season.
- The Raiders have not played in nearly two weeks, but boast a +8 goal differential in the two meetings against Brown this season.
- Colgate leads the country with 42 woman-up scores.
- Senior Krystyna Kaltounkova has 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points, while fifth-year Danielle Serdachny has 19 goals and 33 assists for 52 points.
- The Raiders have 15 players with 10 or more points this season.
- Colgate has two goaltenders who were named semifinalists on the National Goalie of the Year Watchlist. They are junior Hannah Murphy (1.24 GAA, .927 SV%) and senior Kayle Osborne (1.35 GAA, .938 SV%).
- The opening round of the ECAC Tournament saw Brown defeat RPI, Princeton beat Dartmouth, Yale take down Union, and Quinnipiac beat Harvard.
- The quarterfinal round is set with Brown at Colgate, Princeton at Clarkson, Yale at St. Lawrence, and Quinnipiac at Cornell.
