Gymnastics Set to Defend Ivy Crown this Weekend in Philly

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown gymnastics team will attempt to defend its Ivy crown this weekend when it heads to Philadelphia for the Ivy Classic, hosted by Penn at The Palestra. The meet featuring the four Ivy League gymnastics schools is set for a 6 p.m. start on ESPN+.

TITLE DEFENSE
Brown will look to defend its Ivy League title this weekend at the Ivy Classic. Last year, Brown captured its fifth Ivy crown in program history (1990, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2023).
BACK-TO-BACK SCHOOL RECORDS
Brown set two program records at its two meets last weekend, scoring 49.250 on floor on Saturday at LIU, and 48.950 on beam at Monday's All-American Challenge.
BEDELL TIES HER OWN SCHOOL RECORD
At the AA Challenge, junior Julia Bedell tied her own school record on floor (9.950). She now owns six of the top nine floor marks in program history.
YANG'S IMPACT
Freshman Lindsey Yang tied teammate Emily Ford and Olympian Alicia Sacramone for fourth all-time in program history with her 9.875 score on beam on Monday at the All-American Challenge. She also set a new career-high on floor last Saturday (9.850) and was named the GEC Newcomer of the Week.
