#RV Women’s Water Polo Heads to Santa Clara for Bronco Invitational

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – #RV Brown women's water polo (4-4) will compete in four matches as part of the Bronco Invitational this weekend, taking on #13 Pacific and Cal State East Bay on Saturday, and host Santa Clara and #T16 San Jose State on Sunday.

ABOUT BROWN
Roxanne Hazuka has 70 saves through two weeks of the regular season and Sarah Decker has 21.
Leading the way offensively is sophomore Ella Palmer with 20 goals, and Emily Suong (14), Claire Poissonnier (13), Aubrie Anderson (9) and Katharine Knowles (9) follow.
Defensively, first-year Cleo Washer's 15 steals lead the charge.
ABOUT PACIFIC
MATCHUP – SATURDAY, FEB. 17 at 12:40 p.m. ET/9:40 a.m. PT
The Tigers are 5-2 overall and enter the weekend riding a three-match win streak. Pacific competes against Marist in the opener.
Brown is 1-2 against Pacific dating back to the 2011 season, and defeated the Tigers 8-6 in the most recent meeting – on Feb. 20, 2022, in Santa Clara.
ABOUT CAL STATE EAST BAY
MATCHUP – SATURDAY, FEB. 17 at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT
The Pioneers enter 2-2 on the year and Brown is 2-1 against Cal State East Bay dating back to 2012, with back-to-back wins in the most recent meetings.
Both wins came in Santa Clara (Feb. 19, 2022 and Feb. 19, 2023).

MATCHUP – SUNDAY, FEB. 18 at 1:15 p.m. ET/10:15 a.m. PT
Host Santa Clara is 2-3 entering the weekend and competes against Concordia University Irvine, Marist and Austin College before taking on the Bears on Sunday.
Brown is 3-1 against the Broncos with wins the last two seasons in Santa Clara (10-5 in 2022 and 14-6 in 2023).

With a 4-4 mark overall, the Spartans are ranked in the top 20.
