Women's Water Polo Starts CWPA Tournament with Win Over Bucknell

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Brown women's water polo earned a 10-8 win over No. 5 seed Bucknell in the first round of the CWPA Tournament at the University of Michigan on Friday (April 10).

Alexandra Love led Brown with four goals. Aubrie Anderson, Gaby Montalvo and Samantha Kim each had two goals.

Somto Okafo finished the night with three saves.

The Bears trailed 1-0 after the first eight minutes but outscored Bucknell 5-3 in the second quarter to take a 5-4 lead into halftime. The Bears then took control of the game in the third quarter with a 3-0 run with all three goals coming from Love.

UP NEXT
With the win, Brown will move into the semifinals against the No. 1 seed Harvard on Saturday (April 11) with the game beginning at 1 p.m.
