Men's Soccer Earns Ivy League Tournament Berth with 1-0 Win Over Yale

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown men's soccer team punched their ticket to the Ivy League Tournament on Saturday night after their 1-0 win over the Yale Bulldogs.
Harri Sprofera scored a late goal in the second half to put the Bears on the board. Lorenzo Amaral took a corner kick, that Sprofera headed into the back of the net. Sprofera's goal won the game, and sent the Bears to the Ivy League Tournament.
The first half remained scoreless, with both teams putting up a fight. Brown posted four shots in the first half to Yale's three.
In the second half Yale goalkeeper Chris Edwards made two back-to-back saves, keeping the Bulldogs in the game.
The Bears finished the game with a total of 12 shots, against nine from Yale. Goalkeeper Henrik Weiper earned a shutout after making four saves to keep the Bears in it.
Brown men's soccer will head to Philadelphia, Penn. to compete in the Ivy League Tournament from Nov. 15-17.
