Men's Soccer Falls to No. 12 Penn in Ivy Tournament Semifinal

PHILADELPHIA, Penn.- The Brown men's soccer season came to a close on Friday afternoon at Rhodes Field, when the Bears fell to the No. 12 Quakers, 2-1 in overtime.
The Bears struck first, scoring a goal around the halfway mark of the first half. Mads Stistrup Petersen danced around Penn's defenders before feeding the ball to Jack Cloherty. Cloherty fired the ball past Penn's goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III, and into the back of the net.
The competition remained tight as the first half came to a close, with Brown and Penn both having 4 shots.
Penn's Jack-Ryan Jeremiah netted the equalizer at 50:51 in the second half on a penalty kick opportunity.
The Bears continued to outplay the Quakers, wrapping up the second half with three shots against Penn's two. The game remained tied after 90 minutes of play, sending the contest into sudden-death overtime.
Penn's Oliver Penn Pratt secured the win for the Quakers after scoring the game-wining goal four minutes into overtime.
The Bears will return to action next fall for the 2025 season.
