Men's Water Polo Takes Down LIU in NWPC First Round

PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 3 seed Brown men's water polo cruised to a 23-13 win over No. 6 seed LIU in the first round of the NWPC Tournament on Friday.

The Bears held a 14-4 lead at halftime and never looked back as Brown scored seven goals in each of the first two quarters.

Mate Tymcyna led Brown with six goals, Ilias Stothart added five goals and Dominik Balla had four goals. Gabe Chang finished the game with a team-high four assists with Daniel Hadar and William Griswold each having three assists.

Kole Newman led Brown with six saves and Dimitris Kratimenos had three.

UP NEXT
Brown will now play No. 2 seed Harvard in the semifinal round at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
