Field Hockey Travels to Cornell Friday, Hosts Providence Sunday

PROVIDENCE – The Bears (7-6, 3-2 Ivy) head to New York Friday to take on Cornell (5-8, 2-3 Ivy) before returning home to host Providence College (6-8, 2-3 Big East) on Sunday.
Friday's game is set to start at 2 p.m. at Dodson Field in Ithaca, New York. Sunday's game is set to begin at 3 p.m. at Goldberger Family Field in Providence, R.I. Both games will be streaming on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown sits in 1st in the Ivy League averaging 9.93 penalty corners per game.
- Brown averages nearly 20 shots per game with a powerful offensive front of point leader Katie McCallum (6 goals, 4 assists, 16 pts), goal leader Mia Karine Myklebust (7 goals, 1 assist, 15 pts) and assist leader Lucy Adams (3 goals, 8 assists, 14 pts).
- Defensively, Adams also proves to be a force assisting Julia Hitti with limiting opponents' shots. The Bears allow just 2.15 goals per game.
- With goaltender Kylee Del Monte starting all 13 games for the Bears, she averages 1.96 goals against and records a 0.671 save percentage.
- Julia Ramsey leads the Big Red with four goals and nine points. Grace Leahy and Ashley Plzak follow behind with eight points each.
- Defensively, Gabby Volpe records two defensive saves and Julia Ramsey follows behind with one.
- Cornell allows 2.31 goals per game with goalkeeper Martha Broderick in net. Broderick averages 2.15 goals against and records a 0.721 save percentage.
- Friday will mark the 45th Ivy League meeting between Brown and Cornell with an overall 17-25-2 record.
- Cornell holds a 25-17 record over the Brown Bears.
- The last four games have been won by Cornell, three of which were one-goal games.
- Ally Decoste leads Providence with six goals and one assist earning 13 points. Bo Martina also records 13 points so far from four goals and five assists.
- Defensively, the Friars allow 2.93 goals per game. Defender Ally Kennedy records two defensive saves while Florencia Talarico records one defensive save.
- Goaltender Asia Porter has started 14 games for the Friars and averages 2.83 goals against and records a 0.588 save percentage.
- Sunday's game will mark the 41st meeting between Providence and Brown with an overall 10-28-2 record.
- Providence enters the match up with a seven-game series win streak and s 28-10 record over the Bears.
