No. 19 Field Hockey Set to Battle No. 3 Harvard in Ivy League Tournament Semifinals on Friday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 19 Brown field hockey team (10-5, 4-3) will take on No. 3 Harvard (16-0, 7-0) in the Ivy League Tournament Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 7 at 11:30 a.m.

The Tournament Field
After a perfect regular season, Harvard earned the right to host the third installment of the Ivy League Tournament. Princeton enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed, followed by Yale as the No. 3 seed. Brown rounded out the tournament field as the No. 4 seed.
All-Ivy Honoress
Five Bears earned All-Ivy as Lucy Adams and Mia Karine Myklebust earned First Team All-Ivy for the second consecutive season, Lexi Pellegrino and Emily Jury were named Second Team All-Ivy, and Ellie Parker was named Honorable Mention All-Ivy.Â
Pellegrino was also named Academic All-Ivy.
Adams became the third player in program history to be named First Team All-Ivy three times. The Andover, Mass. native joins Lauren Becker '87 and Christine Monteiro '93 as the only Bears to accomplish this feat. Adams also becomes the fourth player in program history to be named All-Ivy on four separate occasions, she joins Monteiro, Julia Hitti '25, and Lizzie Buza '04.
Scouting Brown
Brown enters the Ivy League Tournament having won 10 regular season games for the first time since the 2003 season, the Bears also won five non-conference games for the second-straight season.
The Bears possess the Ivy League's most potent offense as their 48 goals, 49 assists, 9.67 points per game, and 3.2 goals per game all lead the Ivy League.
Nationally, Brown ranks seventh with 3.0 assists per game, and its points per game total and scoring average both rank seventh.
Mia Karine Myklebust and Lexi Pellegrino (24 points) both rank in the top 10 in the Ivy League in total points, Lucy Adams' 11 assists ranks second in the Ivy League. This is the first season since 2010 Brown has had two players accumulate over 20 points.
Scouting Harvard
Harvard enters the Ivy League Tournament as the lone unbeaten team in the nation, Harvard's season was the lone unbeaten season in Ivy League history.
Linde Burger's 0.61 goals against average ranks second nationally, her .792 save percentage ranks fifth nationally. Burger was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Harvard's 3.12 goals per game ranks 12 nationally and second in the Ivy League, its 2.42 scoring margin ranks fourth nationally.
Sage Piekarski was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year, the Crimson earned Coaching Staff of the Year.
History
Brown is 12-34-8 all-time against Harvard. Earlier this season, the Crimson earned a 3-1 victory over the Bears. Harvard has won 11-straight games against Brown.
What's Next
The winner of the two semifinals will meet in the Ivy League Tournament Championship Game on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 12 p.m.
