WINCHENDON, Mass. – Brown women's hockey (2-0-0) completed the weekend sweep against Franklin Pierce (2-2-0) with a 6-2 road win against the Ravens on Saturday.
Five different Bears found the net in the game with Cameron Sikich scoring twice. Olivia Fantino, Jess Ciarrocchi, Margot Norehad and Elodie Roy all scored a goal. Anya Zupkofska picked up her first-career win in net for the Bears, collecting 14 saves.
Anna Shelden and Fantinio each finished the night with a career-high three assists. India McDadi, Cirarrocchi, Sikich, Ella Muralt, Norehard and Roy also had helpers in the win.
"This weekend was about putting together a full 60 minutes on back-to-back nights," said head coach Melanie Ruzzi. "Now we need to tighten the screws and become more sound as a team when we don't have the puck. It was good to build offensive chemistry and to see production from all over the lineup.
The 14 goals are the most for Brown in a two-game stretch since scoring 14 in wins over Sacred Heart (10) and Yale (4) back in 2011-12.
Brown again controlled the game on offense, outshooting the Ravens 47-16.
Franklin Pierce got on the board first with a goal just ender three minutes into the game. Brown quickly responded with a goal from Fantino less than a minute later and Ciarrocchi put the Bears ahead 90 seconds after Fantino's tally.
The Bears finished the period up 3-1 after Sikich scored her first goal of the game with just under four minutes left on the clock.
Norehad scored on the power play for the Bears to make the score 4-1 just under halfway through the second. Franklin Pierce picked up a power play goal five minutes later to cut Brown's lead in half.
Sikich scored her second goal of the game to make the score 5-2.
Elodie Roy scored her first goal of the season, putting home a rebound with less than three minutes to play for the final score.
