Women's Tennis Finishes Third Day of ITA Regional Play

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The women's tennis team finished their second day of competition at the ITA Regionals on Saturday.
Both Phoebe Peus and Bella Hu reached the quarterfinals of the singles draw. Brown is one of only two teams (Boston College being the other) that boasts two players in the singles quarterfinals.
Hu advanced past the round of 64 after Kim Kate (Harvard) retired in the first set due to injury. She continued her strong play in the tournament by defeating Julia Werdiger (Yale) by scores of 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. Peus also completed a successful second day by beating Natalie Block (Harvard) by scores of 6-1 and 6-0, as well as Michelle Ryndin (Cornell) by scores of 7-6 (8-6 tiebreaker) and 7-5.Â
In the doubles bracket, Lindsey Hofflander and Phoebe Peus defeated Allison Root and Flora Eidson (Providence College) by a score of 8-2.
