
Woo Aides in Women's Tennis Defeat Over Boston College

WEYMOUTH, MASS. – The Brown women's tennis team (6-3) defeated Boston College (6-2), 4-3, in a tight tie-breaking match on Sunday afternoon.
"A gritty win by our team today against a Power 4 program BC. After losing the doubles point and going down 1-3, the girls rallied with so much heart to win the match." Broadbent Family Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser said.
Opening with doubles, Dani Ben-Abraham and Hannah Shen lost their match at the first line to Seren Agar and Natalie Eordekian, 6-4. At the second line, Abigail Lee and Chloe Qin fell to Leyden Games and Olivia Benton, 7-5. At the third line, Ali Maguy and Anne Yang fell to Bella Camacho and Tola Glowacka, 7-6.
In singles play, Dani Ben-Abraham earned the Bear's first point of the match, defeating Tola Glowacka at the fourth line, 6-4 and 6-2. Hannah Shen fell to Olivia Benton at the first line, 7-5 and 6-2. At the third line, Abigail Lee fell to Natalie Eordekian, 7-6 and 6-3. Ali Maguy put up a fight in her match against Seren Agar, ultimately securing the win, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6. Anne Yang tied the overall match score after beating Leyden Games at the fifth line, in a three set tiebreaker, 2-6, 6-2, and 7-5. Sari Woo claimed the match winner in a tense match in a three-set tiebreaker, going to seven points in all matches.
