Non-League Finale up Next at No. 12 UConn for Women's Hockey

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown women's hockey completes its non-conference portion of the schedule with a road test at UConn on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
Brown enters the game with an 8-9-1 record, while UConn is 11-6-2 on the year. Tuesday marks the 27th meeting between the two programs. Brown holds a 12-11-3 record over the Huskies.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown is currently on a three-game winning streak with victories over UNH (4-2) and back-to-back wins over RIT (4-1, 3-0).
- The Bears had a big weekend with those two wins. Sophomore Jade Iginla scored three goals and added an assist, freshman Sam Broz had two goals and two assists, classmate Margot Norehad had a goal and two assists, and freshman Ava DeCoste tallied a goal and an assist.
- Sophomore India McDadi registered four assists over the weekend, while seniors Meadow Carman and Cassidy Piersiak, and sophomore Gali Levy each added one assist.
- Sophomore goaltender Mégane Pilon recorded her first-career shutout on Saturday over RIT with 19 saves.
- Brown is on its longest winning streak since Oct. 22-29 of 2022.
- McDadi still leads the team with 16 points with six goals and 10 assists.
- Iginla (10 goals, 5 assists) is in a close second with 15 points.
- The freshmen trio of Broz (4-7-11), Norehad (5-5-10) and DeCoste (2-6-8) have been putting up impressive numbers, while seniors Piersiak (3-3-6) and Cameron Sikich (0-6-6) have been key as well.
Scouting the Huskies
- UConn is coming off two losses at No. 2 Minnesota where they fell by scores of 5-3 and 3-1.
- The Huskies are 9-3-1 so far in Hockey East play. Their last conference game was a 2-2 tie against No. 15 Boston College.
- Senior Jada Habisch leads the team with 11 goals with five assists for 16 points.
- Grad student Coryn Tormala has two goals and 13 assists for 15 points and sophomore Brooke Campbell has six goals and six assists for 12 points.
- In goal, sophomore Tia Chan has a 1.91 save percentage and .943 save percentage in 13 appearances, while junior Megan Warrener has a 0.72 GAA and .961 SV% in eight appearances.
