SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown opened Ivy League play with a strong 65-39 win at Dartmouth on Saturday, their first win in an Ivy League opener since beating Yale in 2019. It also marked the first time Brown has allowed fewer than 40 points in an Ivy League game since it held Dartmouth to 39 points on February 23, 2013.
- A Brown win would give the Bears their first 2-0 start in Ivy League play since sweeping Yale to start the 2005-06 season.
- Brown's seven-game win streak ended with a loss against San Francisco on January 1. It was the longest streak since Brown won 10-straight games in 2017-18.
- Brown started fast and stayed hot in their win at Dartmouth, connecting on 10 three-pointers, tied for the second-most this season, and shot 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, the third-highest percentage this season.
- ALYSSA MORELAND has attacked the glass recently, pulling down double-digit rebounds in each of her last three games, twice tying her career-high with 13 during the stretch. Moreland is the only Bear with a 10+ rebound game this season, a feat she has accomplished four times. GIANNA AIELLO is the last Bear to have back-to-back games with 10+ rebounds, pulling down 10 and 18 against Duquesne and Wagner last season.
- BELLA MAURICIO currently sits in sixth place on the school's all-time three-point list with 158 three-pointers for her career, 12 shy of tying Colleen Kelly '06 for fifth place. Mauricio started her career at Brown making a freshman-record 70 threes. Only four Bears have ever made 200 three-pointers in their careers.
- KYLA JONES will have a shot to be the 23rd Bear in program history to surpass 1,000 career points. Jones currently sits at 869 career points and is coming off a season where she scored 344 points. Jones is averaging 15.0 points per game in her career, which currently sits sixth in program history.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- Yale is off to a 3-11 start this season and dropped its Ivy opener 73-54 at Harvard last weekend. Yale ranks fifth in the Ivy League in scoring this season at 62.5 points per game, and allows 69.1 points per contest, the most in the league.
- Senior guard Jenna Clark leads the Bulldogs with 13.9 points per game, followed by Kiley Capstraw at 13.0 ppg.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Yale and Brown have been pretty even in their series history, with the Bulldogs holding a 48-47 edge all-time.
- Yale has won the last seven matchups between the two schools, with Brown's last win coming in Providence on Jan. 18, 2019. Brown's last win in New Haven came in 2013.
