Men's Hockey Returns to Meehan to Host Harvard, Dartmouth

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (5-10-1, 3-6-0 ECAC) return to Meehan Auditorium to host the Harvard Crimson (1-9-3, 1-4-3 ECAC) on Friday before squaring off against the Dartmouth Big Green (4-4-6, 2-1-4 ECAC on Saturday.
Both games this weekend are set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 4-9-1 overall record and 2-5-0 ECAC mark. The Bears most recently split an ECAC road weekend, taking a 3-2 overtime win at Union before falling at Rensselaer, 2-1.
- Freshman Max Scott leads the Bears with 10 assists and 15 points through 14 games. His 0.63 assists per game are tied for 11th in the conference and his 0.94 points per game are tied for 12th.
- Sophomore Ryan St. Louis leads the team with nine goals and is tied for the team lead with 15 points. His nine goals rank fifth in the conference.
- Goaltender Lawton Zacher holds a 2.70 goals against average and .908 save percentage in 12 starts.
- Harvard enters Friday with a 1-9-3 overall record and 1-4-3 ECAC mark. The Crimson have lost eight straight games dating back to late November.
- Harvard's offense averages 2.0 goals per game to rank 11th in the conference and 61st nationally. Joe Miller leads the Crimson with five goals and is tied for the team lead in points alongside Ryan Healey with 10.
- Harvard's power play clicks at 23.3% to rank second in the conference and 14th nationally. Nearly 40% of Harvard's goals have come on the man advantage.
- The Crimson allow 3.9 goals per game to rank 11th in the ECAC and 60th in the NCAA. The penalty kill enters the weekend at 75% (30-40) to rank 10th in the conference.
- Between the pipes, Derek Mullahy holds a 3.28 goals against average and .896 save percentage in seven starts. Aku Koskenvuo holds a 3.98 goals against average and .891 save percentage in six starts.
- Friday marks the 183rd meeting in the oldest college hockey rivalry in the nation. Brown and Harvard first played in 1898.
- Harvard holds a 119-49-14 series record but the Bears and Crimson have split each of the last two season series.
- Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 4-4-6 overall record and 2-1-4 ECAC mark. The Big Green are tied for eighth in the league standings with 10 points.
- Dartmouth closed the non-conference slate with three games after the holiday break, taking wins over Lake Superior State and Vermont while falling to eighth-ranked Maine.
- Dartmouth averages 2.3 goals per game to rank eighth in the ECAC and 53rd nationally. Cooper Flinton leads the team with six goals while Nikita Nikora leads the Big Green in assists (11) and points (13).
- Dartmouth's power play clicks at 15.8% (9-57) to rank seventh in the ECAC.
- Defensively, Dartmouth allows 2.7 goals per game to rank third in the conference and 19th nationally.
- Connor Black has made 13 starts between the pipes and holds a 2.38 goals against average and .919 save percentage. His save percentage ranks 13th in the NCAA and his goals against average is 20th.
- Dartmouth's penalty kill ranks third in the conference and eighth in the nation at 86% (43-50).
- Brown and Dartmouth square off for the 167th time in a series dating back to 1928.
- Dartmouth holds an 85-71-10 all-time record but the Bears hold the edge in Providence, 33-25-6.
- Just seven points separate second and last place in the current ECAC standings.
- Quinnipiac is pacing the league with 22 points in eight games.
- Brown sits seventh in the standings with 11 points and are just three points behind second-place Princeton.
- Harvard is currently 12th in the standings and just four points behind the Bears.
- Brown picked up its first overtime win in 22 months with the 3-2 victory at Union last weekend.
- Brown's last overtime win came in game 2 of the 2022 ECAC First Round series at St. Lawrence, a 2-1 overtime win.
- Against Union, Alex Pineau tied the game in the final minute to force overtime and Ryan Shostak found the game-winner 2:14 into the extra period for two crucial league points.
