Key Ivy Match at Cornell Coming up for Men's Soccer

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Ivy League play continues for the Brown men's soccer team at Cornell on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Bears have had a week to prepare after winning their conference opener, 4-0, over Columbia last Saturday. The Big Red finished in a 1-1 draw in its Ivy opener at Harvard. In the game before, Cornell defeated No. 7 and defending national champion Syracuse, 2-1, in its only home match of the season so far.
Saturday's match features the top two goal scorers in the Ivy League in senior Kojo Dadzie and Cornell freshman Alex Harris.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown started Ivy play with a 4-0 victory over Columbia and played strong from start to finish.
- Senior Kojo Dadzie finished with his second brace of the season and is now up to five goals on the year to lead the team and is tied for first in the Ivy League.
- Senior Charlie Adams and freshman Carlo Brown each secured their first goals of the season. Carlo Brown added an assist as well along with sophomores Langdon Gryglas and Greyson Mitchell, juniors Tanner Barry and Cal Walsh, and senior Levi Pillar twice.
- The Bears are tied for the league lead with 13 assists, second with 84 total shots, and tied for fourth with nine goals.
- Cornell currently has a 3-2-1 record and is 0-0-1 in the Ivy League after finishing in a 1-1 draw at Harvard a week ago.
- Prior to the game at Harvard, Cornell avenged its 2022 NCAA tournament loss with a 2-1 win at home home against No. 7 Syracuse. Cornell also has a win at No. 19 New Hampshire.
- The Big Red are receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll.
- Reigning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, Alex Harris, leads the team with five goals and has added two assists to lead the league with 12 points.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Friedberg is third in conference with a 1.167 goals against average and has a .708 save percentage.
- Brown leads the series 39-24-6Â over Cornell.
- The Big Red have taken four out of the last five meetings on the pitch with the Bears.
- The last Brown victory over Cornell was a 1-0 final in Providence in 2016.
