Men's Soccer Hosts Columbia to Start Ivy League Play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â The Ivy League opener is next for Brown men's soccer against Columbia on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Brown enters the game with some momentum on their side after picking up a point in a 1-1 draw against Providence. Columbia is coming off a 2-0 win over Quinnipiac and is 1-2-1 in its last four matches.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.

Scouting the Bears
- Senior Kojo Dadzie found the back of the net for the third time this season in Brown's 1-1 draw against Providence last time out.
- Freshman Lorenzo Amaral secured his first-collegiate point with an assist, and sophomore goalkeeper Henrik Weiper finished with six clutch saves in the match.
- The Bears are tied for second in the Ivy League with 68 shots and 26 corner kicks.Â
- Dadzie is tied for second in the league with three goals and tied for third in the conference with six points.
- Columbia has a 2-2-2 record so far this season with wins over Manhattan (3-0) and Quinnipiac (2-0). Draws came against Lehigh and LIU (1-1), and losses were to Sacred Heart (1-0) and Rutgers (2-0).
- The Lions have scored seven goals as a team this season and have allowed only five, which is the second best in the Ivy League despite allowing the most shots on goal.
- Senior goalkeeper Michael Collodi will be out after receiving a red card last time out. Collodi leads the league with 26 saves and an .839 save percentage. He is second in the conference with a .869 goals against average. The Bears will likely see junior Andreas Zamanian, who saw action after the red card.
- Senior Will DeNight leads Columbia with three goals, while freshman Chad Baker has two goals, and sophomore Carmine Falco leads the team with three assists.
- The Bears lead the all-time series, 36-18-7.
- Brown and Columbia ended in a scoreless draw last season.
- The Bears were 6-1-2 over the Lions from 2008-2016. Since 2017, Brown is 1-3-1 with the last win coming in 2021.
- This is the first time Brown will host Columbia since 2018.
