Field Hockey Travels to #15 Harvard; UMass Lowell

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (4-1, 0-0 Ivy League) continue their stretch of road games with a Friday night match at 15th-ranked Harvard (4-2, 1-0 Ivy League) before closing out the weekend against UMass Lowell (5-2, 0-0 AE) on Sunday.
Friday's game is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. Sunday's contest will begin at 3 p.m. and stream on AmericaEast.tv.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters Friday night's game against Harvard with a 4-1 overall record after sweeping the two-game set in Ohio last weekend. Brown took a 2-0 win over Longwood before a 2-1 overtime win over Miami.
- Three Bears – Imogen Govan, Lexi Pellegrino, and Lindsey Ross – have two goals to lead the team in scoring. Govan and Ross lead the Bears with five points apiece.
- Seven other Bears have recorded at least a point through the first five games.
- Kylee Del Monte enters the weekend with a .783 save percentage and 0.98 goals against average.
- Harvard enters the weekend as the 15th-ranked team in the nation per the NFHCA Coaches Poll. The Crimson hold a 4-2 overall record and 1-0 Ivy League mark after taking wins over Dartmouth and Northeastern last weekend.
- Emily Guckian and Lucy Leel lead the Crimson with three goals and seven points apiece. Eight other players have recorded at least a point this season.
- Tessa Shahbo has started three games and holds a 2-1 record with a 1.29 goals against average and .667 save percentage. Sofia Castore has started the other three games and holds the same record with a 0.96 goals against average and .727 save percentage.
- Friday marks the 51st meeting between Brown and Harvard in a series dating back to 1973. Harvard holds a 30-12-8 overall series record against Brown and have won seven straight games.
- UMass Lowell enters the weekend with a 5-2 overall record after taking wins over Northeastern and 18th-ranked UMass last weekend. Both of the team's losses have come against ranked opponents (#11 St. Joseph's; #1 Iowa).
- Isabelle Halters leads the team with 10 points and is tied for the team lead with four goals alongside Meike Vischer. Five other players have three goals as the River Hawks possess the second-ranked offense in the nation with 4.14 goals per game.
- First-year Marie Oliemans started both games in goal last weekend for UMass Lowell. She recorded four saves in the shutout win over the Huskies and a pair of saves against the Minutewomen to earn America East Defensive Player of the Week honors.
- Sunday marks the third meeting between the Bears and Riverhawks in a series dating back to 2014.
- Brown took a 2-1 road win in 2014 with the River Hawks returning the favor with a 2-1 road win in 2015.
