Men's Soccer Set to Renew City Showdown Against Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - City rivals Brown and Providence are set to face off Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.
Tuesday night is Taco Tuesday and Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. The Brown Dining Service Bruno Eats food truck will be at the game to offer taco options. Will accept student swipes as well as cash and credit. Brown faculty/staff can claim up to two (2) complimentary tickets.
This is the final nonconference test for the Bears before two Ivy League contests. Providence is 2-3-1 on the year, most recently finishing in a 3-3 draw at No. 3 Akron.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown is looking to pick up momentum in its final nonconference match before two-straight Ivy League games.
- Despite outshooting and having more corner kicks, the Bears fell to Bryant, 1-0, on Saturday.
- The Bears lead the Ivy League with 24 corner kicks, are tied for the league lead with 57 shots, and are fourth with 22 shots on goal.
- Senior Kojo Dadzie is currently tied for fifth in the league with two goals, while sophomore Tanner Barry and Carlo Brown are tied for second in the league with two assists.
- Providence comes into Tuesday night with a 2-3-1 record and 0-0-1 in the Big East, with a 3-3 draw at No. 3 Akron.
- The Friars are sixth in the Big East with 11 total goals and 10 assists, and have allowed the most goals in the conference with 13.
- Senior Brendan McSorely leads the team with three goals, while freshman Pearse O'Brien has one goal and four assists, and junior Cole Dewhurst has two goals and one assist.
- Graduate student Nathan Messer also has two goals and classmate Miguel Candela has three assists.
- Providence and Brown have one common opponent, UMass. The Friars fell to the Minutemen, 3-2, while the Bears beat UMass, 3-1.
- The series has been close dating back to 2010. Providence holds a 6-4-2 record.
- Brown won the last meeting, 1-0, a season ago at Providence.
