Four Members of Men's Crew Earn Empacher-IRCA All-America Honors

Juniors Ian Burnett and Gabriel Mahler were named First Team All-America, while junior Josh Golbus and senior Will Legenzowski were tabbed to the Second Team.
In order to be named an All-American, rowers and coxswains must meet all eligibility rules defined by their institution, have raced in their team's varsity boat for the current spring racing season, must be nominated by their institution and the head coach of the student athlete's institution must be in good standing with the IRCA.
Nominated student-athletes are then selected by the IRCA Board of Directors to First Team, Second Team or Honorable Mention based on the strength of finish of the institution's varsity boat, nomination rank within institution, and coach's comments, individual achievements, and erg score.
There were 100 rowers and coxswains who met the criteria to be named a First team, Second team, or Honorable Mention All-American, representing 35 teams (27 heavyweight and 8 lightweight).
