Kelly, Griffin, Seguin Earn IRCA Athlete Watchlist Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The IRCA released its athlete watchlist for the 2026 spring season, with several Bears earning national recognition. Davis Kelly, Tom Griffin, and Elenna Seguin, all members of last year's Varsity Eight, were highlighted as some of the best coxswains and rowers in Division I.Â
Kelly, who is one of the captains and senior leaders on this year's roster, has been an Empacher-IRCA Scholar-Athlete for the last two seasons and an Empacher-IRCA All-American Honorable Mention last year. The senior from Vashon Island, Washington, also stroked the Varsity Eight at the Head of the Charles regatta this past October.Â
Seguin, who has coxed every race for the Varsity Eight since the beginning of last season, was an Empacher-IRCA Scholar-Athlete last year and helped lead the Bears to a fifth-place finish in the Grand Final at the 2025 IRA Championship. The junior from Old Greenwich, Connecticut, has also competed on the international stage, coxing the United States Eight to a fifth-place finish at the Under-23 World Championships in 2025.Â
Griffin will look to build on a 2024-25 campaign that saw him become one of the top rowers in the nation, earning Empacher-IRCA Second Team All-American honors for his performance on one of last season's top crews. A senior from London, Griffin also earned Empacher-IRCA Scholar-Athlete honors last season.Â
