Women's Lacrosse Hosts #15 Penn for Senior Day Matchup

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's lacrosse team will host No. 15 Penn on Senior Day this Saturday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.

The Bears, depending on other Ivy results throughout the day, will likely need a victory against the Quakers to stay alive in the hunt for the Ivy League Tournament. A win will guarantee that Brown still has a chance to qualify for the postseason, but a loss paired with wins by Yale and Harvard would leave the Bears on the outside looking in.

The game will broadcast live on ESPN+. A Senior Day ceremony will be held immediately following the conclusion of the game.

Scouting the Bears (5-7, 2-3 Ivy)

With her 10 draws last week against Princeton, Emmie Lau moved into second place all time in program history with 161 in her career. Grace Healy '14 holds the record at 229.
Jackie Mason had a career-high four assists and five points against the Tigers. She is tied for second on the team with 12 assists on the season.
Annie Burton's 12 goals in conference games this season are tied for the sixth most in the Ivy.

Scouting the #15 Quakers (9-4, 5-0 Ivy)

With their win over Princeton on Wednesday, the Quakers claimed at least a share of the Ivy Title. One more victory over their final two games would give them outright possession of the trophy.
All four of Penn's losses on the year have come against opponents ranked No. 22 in the nation or better. They've dropped games to No. 8 Loyola (Md.), No. 22 Jacksonville, No. 10 Maryland, and No. 8 Florida. The Quakers have also picked up wins against No. 16 Johns Hopkins, No. 13 Yale, and No. 24 Princeton.
Penn's 184 goals on the year lead the Ivy League, as does their average margin of victory of 3.5.

In conjunction with the men's lacrosse game at 12 p.m., Brown Athletics encourages all fans to wear white to White Out Stevenson-Pincince Field. The first 200 students at each game will receive a free Brown Athletics t-shirt.
