Women's Water Polo Comes Back Against Bucknell to Close Weekend With Win

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's water polo earned a comeback win over Bucknell to close out the weekend on Sunday morning. Lily Wieser led the Bears with four goals and Zoe King tallied three for Brown.
Bucknell took a 5-1 lead after the first quarter with King scoring the lone goal of the period for Brown. The Bears turned things around in the second with goals from Claire Poissonnier, King, Alexandra Love, Sophie Golub and Tallulah Clancy to outscore the Bison 5-0 and take a 6-5 lead into halftime.
After Bucknell tied the game early in the third quarter, Brown responded with goals from Weiser, Golub and King to go back up three.
The Bears took full control of the game in the fourth, getting three goals from Weiser and one each from Poissonnier and Ella Palmer to win the final eight minutes 5-2.
UP NEXT
Brown will remain at home next weekend for two games, taking on Connecticut College and Princeton on Saturday.
