Women's Lacrosse Falls to #5 Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Brown women's lacrosse team lost to No. 5 Boston College 17-5 Wednesday afternoon at the Fish Field House.
Annie Burton led the Bears for the second game in a row with two goals on the day. Nathalie Ahn, Claire Jeschke, and Mia Mascone all also tallied one goal apiece, while Alyssa Levy and Leah Caputo registered assists.
Emmie Lau had a team-high three ground balls and Greta Criqui led the Bears with four draw controls.
The Eagles opened the scoring with a 3-0 run, but Brown quickly answered back. Mascone got the Bears' first goal, followed by Burton and Jeschke to tie the game at three with 2:58 left in the first quarter. BC got one back to go into the second quarter with the 4-3 lead.
The goal to end the first for the Eagles' was the start of a 12-0 run as they stretched their lead to 15-3 headed into the fourth and final quarter.
Burton got her second of the day early in the fourth off a behind-the-back pass from Caputo and Ahn capped the scoring for both sides off an assist from Levy, giving the junior her first collegiate point.
The Bears return to action this Saturday, March 11 with a 1 p.m. road game at Sacred Heart.
