Baseball to Host Yale for Three-Game Ivy Series

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Coming off a midweek non-league win over Stonehill on Tuesday, Brown baseball will welcome Yale to Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium for a three-game Ivy League series this weekend. Due to anticipated inclement weather, one game will now take place on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m., followed by a Sunday doubleheader.
Last season, Yale took two out of three games from Brown in West Haven, with all three games being decided by one run.

SCOUTING BROWN (4-14, 1-2 Ivy)
- The Bears are coming off a midweek 4-3 win over Stonehill, where Ryan Marra drove in three runs and clubbed his fourth home run of the season in the seventh inning.
- Freshman Christian Keel picked up his first career win in relief, lowing his ERA to 2.79, the lowest among Brown relievers.
- Freshman Peter Dubie locked down his second save.
- Senior centerfielder Derian Morphew enters Friday having reached base in eight consecutive games, including a three-game hitting streak and has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, hitting .313 over that stretch.
- Freshman Mika Petersen has reached base in seven straight games and is riding a five-game hitting streak entering the weekend, hitting .458 during his hitting streak. He has moved up to second on the team in batting average (.296).
- Freshman DJ Dillehay has started the last six games at shortstop and gotten a hit in all six games. He enters this weekend with a seven-game hitting streak and holds a .400/.483/.440 slash line this season.
- Sophomore Nathan Brasher has a hit in nine of his last 11 games.
- As a team, Brown's pitching staff ranks No. 2 in the Ivy League with a 6.19 ERA, trailing only Penn (4.29).
SCOUTING YALE (6-12, 1-2 Ivy)
- The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-3, 14-inning win on Wednesday at home against Sacred Heart.
- Yale dropped two out of three at home against Cornell last weekend to open Ivy play.
- Yale's pitching staff is fourth in the Ivy League with a 6.48 ERA, and also ranks fourth in batting average (.264).
- Senior outfielder Jimmy Chatfield leads the Ivy League with a .506 on-base percentage and is fourth in the league in both average (.379) and slugging (.621). He also leads the team with three homers and 16 RBIs.
