
Chan and Yee-Wadsworth Ready for 2023 NCAA Championships

DURHAM, N.C. – Brown senior Casey Chan and junior Sofia Yee-Wadsworth are set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke University.
Chan is competing in the saber while Yee-Wadsworth competes in the épée.
Chan begins her third NCAA Championship on Saturday with the first three rounds of the saber. The competition is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, Chan will compete in the final two rounds, beginning at 9 a.m.
Chan will compete in 23 bouts over the five rounds with seven scheduled for Round 1. Seven of Chan's opponents are fellow Ivy Leaguers.
Yee-Wadsworth kicks off her first NCAA Championship with the first three rounds of the épée at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The fourth and fifth rounds are set for 9 a.m. on Sunday. Like Chan, Yee-Wadsworth is scheduled for 23 bouts with seven coming in the opening round. Six of Yee-Wadsworth's opponents hail from the Ivy League.
The semifinals and finals are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
