Gymnastics Set to Battle for GEC Title on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's gymnastics team is set to compete for a conference title on Saturday at the second annual Gymnastics East Conference Championships, hosted by William & Mary. Entering the championships as the No. 2 seed, the Bears will look for their second conference title this season after taking home the Ivy Classic title back on February 26.

ABOUT BROWN
- The Bears finished runner-up last year at GECs, which were hosted at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
- Brown had 10 gymnasts combine for 12 all-conference awards, having landed in the top six in the GEC in the four apparatuses and the all-around. View the full list here.
- Gymnasts will also have an opportunity to earn All-GEC honors at Saturday's championships, with the top three earning First Team honors and spots four through six earning Second Team.
- Brown scored a season-high 195.200 (second-highest in program history) to win the Ivy Classic over Penn, Yale and Cornell, their fifth Ivy title all-time.
- Brown set the program record (48.925) on beam in the dual meet against Southern Connecticut on February 5.
- Sophomore Julia Bedell has twice tied the program record on floor this season (9.925), a mark she shares with Caroline Morant, Danielle Hoffman and Olympian Alicia Sacramone.
