Women's Hockey is on the Road for Cornell and Colgate

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown women's hockey is hoping to carry the momentum from its sweep over RPI and Union into this weekend at No. 14 Cornell and No. 4 Colgate. With their two wins last weekend, the Bears have surpassed last year's win total and have matched the 2011-12 team for the most victories over the past 16 seasons. Brown moved up to ninth place in the ECAC standings and are 6.5 points behind Harvard for the final playoff spot with four games left.
Junior Kaley Doyle was recently named the ECAC Goaltender of the Week after allowing just one goal with 57 saves and a shutout last weekend.

SCOUTING BROWN (8-16-1, 6-12-0 ECAC)
- Brown picked up a road weekend sweep at RPI (4-1) and Union (2-0) for its first road sweep since the second weekend of the season.
- Freshman Jade Iginla netted her first-career hat trick at RPI, while junior Maya Mangiafico scored as well. Junior Kaley Doyle finished with 33 saves and one goal allowed for the win.
- Doyle stepped up with 24 saves and her second shutout of the season against Union to secure ECAC Goaltender fo the Week.
- Scoring for the Bears at Union were freshmen Maddie Morgan and India McDadi
- Iginla now has 14 goals and five assists for a team-leading 19 points.
- Cornell enters the weekend as the No. 14 team in the nation with a 12-11-2 record and a 9-8-1 mark in the ECAC. The Big Red are currently on a four-game losing streak with losses to Harvard, Dartmouth, Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
- In the last meeting against Brown, Cornell won 4-2 at Meehan Auditorium. Jade Iginla scored two early goals but the Big Red responded with a goal in the second and three more in the third to steal the win.
- Izzy Daniel (15-24-39) and Gillis Frechette (14-25-39) bring a ton of fire power to the Big Red. They are tied for fourth in the conference in points and second in points per game (1.56). The point per game mark is also fifth in the country.
- Deanna Fraser, Belle Mende and Brynn DuLac have all spent time in goal for Cornell. DeLuc was in in net most recently and has a 3.48 GAA and a .867 save percentage.
- The Big Red are 18th in the nation with 83 goals this season.
- Colgate is the No. 4 ranked team in the country with a 24-4-2 record and 14-3-1 in the ECAC.
- The Raiders are 6-1-1 in their last eight games and hold a 12-1-1 record at home this season with a 2-1 loss to Quinnipiac and a 3-3 tie to St. Lawrence.
- Colgate won 5-2 on Dec. 2 the last time they faced Brown. Elyssa Biederman scored a hat trick, while Anna Shelden and Anna Gallagher picked up goals for the Bears.
- Colgate's 121 goals is fourth in the nation and 212 assists is third. The Raiders also have the seventh best scoring defense in the nation at 1.67.
- Danielle Serdachny (18-35-53) leads the country in points per game, while Kristyna Kaltounkova (18-25-43) is ninth in the country.
- In goal, Hannah Murphy (1.45 GAA, .935 SV%) and Kayle Osborne (1.72 GAA, .927 SV%) are both top 15 in the country in both categories.
